>>1614820Best areas for cabins near Phoenix are just below the Rim or on the Rim (from Happy Jack to Show Low), Bradshaw mts near Prescott, and central/northern Gila co (cabins above in Gila 7500 are in Mazatzal, Pinal and Sierra Ancha mts; hard to buy nowadays). Payson, Young, and Prescott have land that isn't too expensive for building cabins on and get around 20 inches of snow in winter (are all at 5,000ft roughly). Young is only reached by winding mountain dirt roads tho so your building options are limited by what you can bring over the pass.
