>>851574>dropper loopnot that guy but.. dropper loop fishing is used for a lot other fishing applications. yellowtail-kingfish when holding deep are suckers for a mackerel on a dropper loop. 6-10oz torpedo will get your bait down fast enough to avoid the rats. Tuna fishing this year the dropper loop was my savior. all the people around me were either yoyoing jigs or bouncing flat falls but no one was getting bit. Live mac on a dropper loop got me JP fish ($600)
I think the anon was only saying that its an effective technique..not only for "cats" but for other fish as well..if you look at it. It is similar to dropshot fishing sans jiggle jiggle..
I wouldnt write it off as a technique that has NO application to your fishery even if you dont fish cats.
