those masks work good actually. I bought 3 of them from ebay to take to the yucatan and they worked good for free diving wrecks. the snorkel is self clearing through a valve and the view is much better than a regular mask. there was no problem diving down to the reefs and it was nice to not have to hold a snorkel in your mouth the whole day. get one theyre cheap now.
Also you need a mexican fishing license to harvest anything in mexican waters so get one before you enter the country and learn the regs on what you can take.
