Went to check a local lake this morning. Still there's ice, but the rains and SEVENTY FIVE degree weather has the water line 4-6 ices above the ice in all the places I would have been fishing. One guy was Jon boating around and kept hitting still submerged ice under the flood waters. Very odd, but the submerged trees in the area must have it locked down where it can't float up. I about had a heat stroke walking around out there in the humidity. Just a few days ago, the same place had 3 inches of ice and one guy was ice fishing close to shore, but the ice was the wrong color so I didn't waste my time. The rivers are a mess too. They are up a few feet; chocolate water with churning ice.
I'm sitting here with all the windows and doors open and a fan.
This is the worst winter ever for fishing.
>>929149>>929161IKTF, happens to me a great deal. Especially since I have a few decades to "invent" new things before the internet came along and told me I wasn't the first. Which is nice, because someone else thought it was a good idea too.
>>929108This. I always pick up trash when I'm out at waterways and on hikes. I take a couple trash bags along for that purpose. I also don't bring things that turn into trash while I'm out so there's nothing to stow away of my own that I don't need.
