The area up beyond the park into the headwaters of Yellowstone are even more pristine and untouched. It's also the least visited part of the entire greater Yellowstone ecosystem, mostly because it's so remote, grizzly bear infested and is over 20 miles from any roads and takes a two day hike to reach the area from any trail heads or accessible bodies of water.
