>>39783Then there are those who want to shoot at moving targets, and mostly slaughter animals for pleasure. Food is just an excuse for them, if only it can be eaten. Or then sometimes they'll say they're just pests. Sport hunters are the one that want a trophy on top of their chimneys. They're the one who kill lions, elephants and bears, not giving a single fuck. They're the kind of guys you see posing next to dead game with their weapons in hand. This is what "sport hunting" really is.
Finally, there are those who simply want to get rid of pests, because they kill their stock or annoy them for some reason. "Pest hunting" is yet another very different form of hunting, that can barely be considered to be hunting.
Maybe if we can all acknowledge that, this debate could finally move on.
/out/ is very "survival" oriented, and thus hunting for food seems like a prefered subject, whether regular or traditional. But somehow, only regular and traditional hunters argue over this, when they should both aim actual sport hunters. Pest hunting is /out/ related too, as long as it is "real" pest hunting, and not just disguising your will to slaughter animals behind this.
Yet, where should sport hunting land if it isn't on /out/, even if no one really appreciate them? Are there even been any actual "sport hunting" thread on /out/?
