>>1888515Okay did a little bit of my own research and am thinking of buying the Warbonnet Blackbird XLC once the weather starts to turn this winter. It seems like a good hammock and has nothing but good reviews for the double layer version since I am tall and a fat ass but it obviously is a good bit more expensive. That is fine and makes sense however do I really need one of their fancy tarps or will any decent hammock tarp get the Job done? and what about the underquilts & windbreaker/windsock and the other bullshit they sell are they worth the extra splurge or can I cheap out on stuff in that vein to a degree?
