>>1583873That's called a drag. On a bait caster it should be right on the reel handle axle, it looks like the spokes on a wagon wheel. Play around with it to learn what direction is loose. You should be able to pull line out directly from the reel with only a little effort but not enough where you can't get a good hookset. When I set the hook on a bait caster I always hold my thumb on the spool so there is no give. Usually 10 lbs is used on bait casters with mono, but braid is the best on a baitcatser. I recomend 40lb power pro with a 12lb mono leader.
