I looked up the price of one of these things. It's not too different to one of those "super-lanskys" like the wicked edge sharpeners.
I've probably spent at least a third of the cost of a tormek grinder on water stones, whets, rods etc. I think I would have been better off just going directly to doing it like this guy advocates for because it looks like these things let you do fractions of a degree with software and most of the sharpening videos I've watched don't even mention burrs let alone how to get rid of them.
The one time I remember it a guy said run your knife through some soft wood and Kraichuk says that is shit and causes problems.
