Can anyone ID pic related (NORF England)? I found a small stand growing at the foot of what I think is a birch tree by the side of a footpath. I haven't found a single mushroom online that seems to correspond even at a superficial level and nobody I know that's into mushrooming seems to have a clue either
The group had been pretty badly mangled, presumably by horses, dogs or walkers, and this was the most intact one
They're growing near a decently busy road in a small forest if that helps at all
