>>2521789What I like about chickens is how they compliment the homestead. We used to free range them few hours of day. They ate worm and fertilized everything with poop. Almost all food leftovers were eaten by them eg. potato peels, crushed eggshels (essential to build new ones), any type of meat (including chicken). Of course they mostly eat store bought chicken feed but all of the above greatly improved the eggs. And almost all of them ended eaten by us anyway. I've learnt to kill and butcher them all by myself when I was still a kid
