The inside is stuffed with fiberglass to aid capillary action.. Also, I sort of just eyeballed where to drill the holes so the flame pattern looks sort of retarded. And the black crud is JB Weld as an additional seal where the two halves meet. I didn't need it, and as the stove got hot the JB weld charred up and rotted away anyways.
Also, one more thing. Is 91% rubbing alcohol supposed to burn with a regular orange flame? I thought alcohol flames were blue.
