>>1310589It usually takes me about 9 miles solid hiking before they are real broke in. I have a nice 3.3 mile hike behind my house 750ft elevation change, I usually hike it three to four times after work and they are golden. They are supposed to be stiff at first, they last forever. You can get more life from them if you apply sno-seal to the leather and clean them. I just applied sno-seal after taking those pics. I like to get the leather a little worn before I apply it, it helps really soak it up. Just make sure you clean em real good first. Gives a real nice finish to the boots, pic related. Had to use flash because they looked black in the low light.
