A gentleman always wears polished, black dress shoes even though they tend to be a bit troublesome when traversing through the snow. But then again that's when the gaiters step in.
When it comes to trousers the Finnish wool trousers are the best thing ever to cross my way. Upon seeing the Soviet webbing belt I just knew it was a must-have. The French M47 canteen with cup and pouch fits the belt like a glove. The canteen is big but this is only a positive thing when the trip has already lasted half-a-day.
The Czech M85 pullover serves as an undershirt and with the BW mountain troop rucksack on my back I can carry around all the stuff I need. Czech wool scarf keep my neck warm and works well even if the temperature get warmer.
To top all this there's the short-hemmed French Ike jacket which offers just enough ventilation to keep me from sweating. Plus the jacket is an embodiment of rustic charms of the past."
