>>2666184Not in desperate need for a job, however I am in need of when it comes to what recruiters look for. If I were to post my resume, it would be
-Military (POG Marine Aircraft Mechanic for 4 years)
-Fast Food Team Member (each one less than 6 months of employment)
-Fitness Instructor (Left over gig from enlistment)
-Security Guard
I've become fed up working a normal security work and miss the ever changing cycle of field work. I am interested in going to school for forester or hydrologist and saw SCA as a solid summer "introduction" into this field of work. But I am nervous about my experience portion, as in my "Yes, I've participated and led working parties on several occasions during field exercises, while enlisted in the military, and have experience with hand tools and hard work" vs a college kid with probably a just-as-unrelated work history as I do but since they've already begun their education, won't recruiters favor them more? I'm 26, so not too late to buckle down on my education, but this summer, I would strongly prefer to work outdoors vs pulling security in a city, starring at a wall because DHS says cellphones are a "distraction"
