>>1457479Not even a quarter mile in and my rods are being snagged on low hanging branches. Full confession, this was my second use of this kayak, the lake being the first. So it takes a little bit to get used to maneuvering it again. I go to get on the bank and stow all of my rods into the hull and we head on down again. Still a little overconfident, I didn't look where I was going and was too late to react by a branch about to gouge my face. When I tried to dodge the branch, I leaned too far and got dumped into the water. Thankfully it was only waist high but that's enough to soak everything in my pockets. So we make another bank stop so I can assess the damage and change shirts. The water wasnt freezing and the weather was nice so I don't really care about being wet, I'll dry out eventually. We head back down river.
