The san juan worm worked slowly, the headstand fly, carpnasty fly, and during certain times of the year cotton ball imitations. I've caught every species of sunfish (and carp) in my area with the Headstand fly. Just make sure to 'sneak' up on the carp - if they see you casting and have been fished before they will be wary and freeze up/panic and possibly leap/run. They're the smartest fish in my area (fuckin asians man)
