Noob here, I want to get started on growing stuff. However I've got some questions. Hopefully, you can give me a hand.
1. Is there some sort of wiki, quick guide to start doing stuff? I downloaded the pdfs from the torrent, but it's going to take a while to read them all.
2. How did you learn?
3. Is it possible to grow enough veggies to sustain three people, I have a little garden, it's quite small. I could also use a roof terrace.
4. My uncle's got some land I could use, however it's like 40 minutes away from my house and the roads are very shitty. I wouldn't be able to check the plants every day.
Could I grow some fruit trees there? I'm thinking something that does not need too much care.
I live in a sort of mountainous place, over 1400(I think) metres above sea level. According to the Köppen climate classification, I live in a class C area. Don't really know which one. But I believe it's a humid one.
Summers are rainy and winters tend to have some light rains. Temperatures range from 18°C to 26°C in warmer months and 4°C to 12°C during winters.
Stuff that I've seen growing innawoods or nearby areas.: lime, lemon, orange, tangerine, dill, parsley, coriander, loganberry(I think, it matches the description), another berry that looks darker, maybe blackberry?,
coffee, sugar cane, maize, bananas(they are smaller but taste better IMO), macadamia, potato, different types of chilli, spearmint, tamarillo?, guava, black cherry, bamboo, chamomile, aloe vera, lemongrass,
some type of peach that's small, green and tastes meh.
5. So besides that, what can I grow? what veggies? what flowers? I want mostly different types of tomatoes(I really love tomatoes), basil, mint, onions, garlic, chives, rugula, figs, lettuce, spinach, kale,
strawberry, and berries in general.
6. What would be a good tree, that grows fast and could be used for firewood?
pic unrelated.
