I'll look into ALICE packs aswell. I dig the look of military gear. I was initially planning on just using an old MOLLE rucksack but it's pretty cheaply made.
For the past year or two I've been slowly acquiring gear because I was initially entertaining the thought of dropping everything and vagabonding across the country, which is still an idea that rests in the back of my mind, although I would obviously swap some of the gear out like the tent for a bivy. But for now I'm mainly looking to go on the occasional trip either solo or with some buddies ranging from day hikes to entire weekends.

- Klymit Static V Sleeping Pad
- REI Half Dome 2+
- Ultralight Canister Stove
- MSR Stowaway Pot 1.6 L
And random misc gear like paracord, tarp, water treatment chems, personal hygiene products.
