So proud of myself. Was able to fix a cheap spinning reel that fell in saltwater and was grinding up corrosion and sand. Had a hell of a time with reassembly until I realized the side plate needed to be on just right to avoid rubbing the rotor or too tight squeezing down on the main gear. In the past never been able to fix a reel after I try messing with it. Only issue now is the case screws so cheap and plastic needed to be torqued down so tight the heads are near striped so I probably won't be able to clean it out again but at least I got some more time out of this reel.
