Work for an exploration company, that does a bit of everything - metals in the Americas, coal in Australia and starting to look at some gold projects in Africa now.
I've only managed to get some fieldwork in Australia, but it's pretty cool - get to spend days /out/ like pic related.
Umm I was a complete fuck up at school. My only advice is learn GIS and get experience as soon as you can. Only reason I'm in my position is because I worked for pennies as a student - much higher achieving people I studied with still don't have jobs.
