vicente flats trail will take you to a redwood grove where you can camp. there was not much water at the vicente flats camp, and you had to hike down a creek bed to find it. if you go past that camp and take a left on stony ridge trail, you will eventually come across a flowing, spring-fed stream. there are various spots you can jump off trail and camp. we camped below what's called "goat camp," on a ridge. very dry. buggy, but they lightened up at night. literally, they woke me up in the mornings. we took my friend's HMG massive ass tent (no bug protection LOL).
