I got a 6lb tent complete with rain fly, footprint, stuff sack, and all poles I use. It is three man and while it is big and heavier than the sub 4lb ones I see, it is very very room for me, my dog, my gear, and an extra person. I sometimes get jealous of manlets because they can fit in the 1/2 person UL tents for 3lbs, but I do not fit in those at all. The extra 2ish lbs to fit comfortably is worth not waking up being in a claustrophobic sarcophagus. If I backpacked for more than 3 nights yeah maybe I would be more into shaving weight
