>>475711alarmist bs. also when the fish dry up, commercial fishermen wont fish for those species anymore. there is no money in it. source i'm a commercial fishermen and i've seen fisheries evolve over the years. when there is a glut of one thing people fish it. when its no longer profitable they go to something else. they didnt wipe it off the face of the earth. it recovers and people start to fish it again, maybe a decade or 2 later. less then 5 years for some species. if there are literally no fish economically feasible to harvest then there will be no fishermen. its virtually impossible to fish to extinction every fish in the ocean unless they are being subsidized somehow.
http://www.isciencetimes.com/articles/6800/20140209/deep-sea-fish-populations-10-times-greater.htm>scientists found that 10 times more fish live between 650 and 3,300 feet below the surface of the ocean than previous estimates have concluded. Instead of 1,000 million tons of biomass, the new estimate suggests there are about 10,000 million tons. whoops seems scientist got something wrong. luckily they caught their mistake. i hope it makes you feel better.
>animals living in the mesopelagic zone accounted for a majority of all the world's fish. The new study places them firmly in the lead.looks like i found my new fishery
