Gerroa Road was just as big a PITA this time as it was while cycling down before… Most of it is 100km/h, single-carrage, and double-white-lined. I needed to accommodate the passing vehicles about 8 times on the ~9km stretch.
The situation is worse than for outback roads– out there, drivers do the practical thing and ignore the double-line… but here, everyone bunches up together, there’s lots of traffic, and not many safe opportunities for overtaking. It was much the same situation for the road into Jervis Bay.
