>>114478Can't beat a canoe for camping, I have and Old Town and a Mad River that I and my grandparents have been using for at least 15 years. I also have an Edge 14' Whitewater Canoe, plus two yaks I use for fishing.
I've done a lot of paddling over my life with my Grandpa, many wilderness camping trips and lots of whitewater. (Class 2-4) Tried camping out yaks a few times and there just isn't enough room usually. I don't know where this Kayak craze came from. I guess people don't want to acquire the skill to be a decent paddler so they take the easy way out. Canoe's are graceful and beautiful, at least they used to be. These new fat ass pieces of plastic they sell now are garbage.
That's me in my Edge a couple years ago.
