Hi /hgm/, I was given a jimsonweed (aka datura/devil's trumpet) as a gift and I just found out it's highly toxic. What's the best way to safely (and legally) dispose of it without risking it reseeding? The shrub is about 4 feet high and has 14 ripe pods like pic related, I'm wondering if I can just toss it in the street a few blocks down and let nature take its course.
It's a beautiful plant and all, my concern is only that a neighborhood dog or kid might get poisoned since it was planted next to my raspberry bushes.
