If that's what you mean, I have had luck with them. I like to use them in new lakes and fishin holes or areas I know I might get snagged in. The action is never quite as nice as the real ones and the paint will chip off or hooks and little rings that hold the hooks will bend.
I also have a handful of cheal in-line spinners. Some generic black with silver and white with silver blades. They don't spin as reliably as Mepps or even Rooster Tails, but I don't care if they get caught on a branch or rock since they are <$2.
Pic related, cheap shit. But I have caught a lot of fish on those gold Rapala type baits. The bigger one is great for bass and I think I even got a gar on it once.
