I used to destroy them, but the last few years as an experiment I tried making a nicer version to stay. Decent fire pits with a latrine and a bin for garbage, and a small chest to keep things in.
I also make a decent foundation for sleeping on and put a tarp nearby so they can put a roof over themselves.
Interestingly it's lead to much less litter, fewer camps, and occasionally I get a thank you from a pissed up slav or the local rangers who don't have to do as much work.
