Maybe I'm too much of a starry eyed idealist but if it were my kid and I wasn't there to teach him I'd rather he learn lessons (and receive insults) from the well versed and knowledgeable /out/ists around here rather than having to start AND end his journey on google. Most 17 year old kids aren't going to know most if any of what you or I know.
I know that we're all a bunch of antisocial people and it's not uncommon to believe that everyone dumber than us deserves to suffer but I can't help but feel compassion for the dumb kids that start these threads. They always write as if they're running out of hope. Like they have no where to turn to. They see a future where they can only slave away in jobs they hate until they rot and fall apart. Then they turn to us, the anons, the Umman Manda, sometimes some of their closest brothers in this world.
>>2456537The problem is that the wise elders would often rather point the ignorant children to suckle at the teat of institutions than present their hard earned knowledge. "Google is your friend" goes the saying. I don't believe google is our friend. I say that we are each others friends and children don't have to suffer in ignorance. You want to get angry and spew vitriol. Why? To show how intellectually superior you are to a child with barely a fraction of your life experience? Epic. You chase a short term high while things burn around you.
