>>479195OP, imho you should go car camping. Its fast, easy, and it doesn't sound like you or your gf are too well versed in the outdoors (no offense). If you want to have an enjoyable experience, one that you and your gf will really enjoy, find a camp ground with some hiking trails in the area, do some day hikes and explore some of the less traveled tourist areas.

I am a well versed outdoorsman / camper but my gf wasn't. i Felt more comfortable providing her with an enjoyable experience, and not forcing her to haul a 40lb pack down a trail for a day, followed by setting up a campsite. Staying at a campground made the entire experience a blast for her, and now we do multi day backpacking trips together.
Start small OP and I promise you, you both will have a blast this trip, and even better times in the future!
