One set in L, one set in XL.
I remember fighting to get the L liners on, that's why I got the XL set. The XL hike+ med was just too big for my feet, all baggy at the back of my foot so I was wearing XL liners with L meds.
I tried my L liners on just now to see again how different they were to the XL ones. They slipped on reasonably easily, felt pretty all right.
The time(s) when I fought to get these on must have been times where my feet were more swollen.
I think if I buy them again I'll do the XL liner with the L med.
