Also, the kale spawned a hellish nightmare of cabbage worms. I've been told these paper cut outs of white butterflyish looking figures will scare off the mature adults because they're territorial and when they try to aggress the paper they obviously lose. Can anyone give credence to this method?
Lastly, you can see a groundwater pump here that moves out water to prevent basement flooding. I've fashioned a poor storage method by directing it into a tub. The openness of it is less than ideal because of evaporation/insects. Any suggestions? Should I simply throw some sort of cover over it?
