I'm not sure if there's a name for it, but here in Idaho we have large tracks of lava rock that has caves and sudden cliffs everywhere. Shit is rough on anything since it's practically razor sharp melt glass. Its not entirely my favorite biome but it's definitely under appreciated. It's hot as hell in the summer and generally an unpleasant place unless you like cave diving into literal knives. It's surreal hiking around and just walking into a lava bubble or one of the Meadows where the lava never got to. Deer and snakes everywhere.
