In controlled environments train with other decoy dogs. If your dog is off leash and has poor recall, not only is it annoying, it regresses their training.
>inb4pitbullsI don't usually have pitbulls, typically since covid its 3-4 year old dogs dumped in the middle of nowhere. Most of these dogs were neglected and never socialized. Current dog was loose in the woods for (we think) 3-5 months and is a very good hunter, will catch birds out of the air, but zero dog or human socialization. Shes deadly afraid of coyotes, as soon as we hear a coyote group she freezes and we have to leave.
