I'm going homeless somewhat close to New York City with a little more than 3k in my bank. It wont be permanent, hopefully less than a month, I can't go into all the details, but I have been preparing myself since it will be happening early next month.
I plan on mostly surviving on free water, and very cheap food, maybe only spending a few dollars a day at most, and mostly blending as a normal looking individual, I have been working out constantly, I bought a canteen for water already, and I have been watching stealth camping videos to kind of get an idea of what to do. I do have a razor, and some cleanliness products to at least appear as presentable as possible.
Does anyone have any recommendations for things I might need to buy? Some things i'm going to have to buy literally the day I do go homeless, for example, I cannot buy a really big backpack, or a tent, doubt I can buy a knife or anything like that for protection either until the day of.
Any help would be appreciated, even basic shit that would help for comfort, for example, I have been trying to convert my old PSVita into an emulation machine since I know I probably won't be able to play any video games properly for awhile.
Portable chargers, clothes/blankets I can buy, etc, anything, this is probably one of the scariest/dumbest, but also most necessary things I have had to do ever in my life, and I have a feeling it's gonna be something that at the very least lasts a month, but worst case scenario this is something that's gonna last a few months.
