Hey /out/, I'm gonna be going on a backpacking trip for a few days soon, and I have a problem. My boots are just a hair too big, and cause pain in the back of my heel right below the ankle, when my heel has too much movement and hits/scrapes against the interior of the back of the boot. It mostly happens when I'm climbing up a slope.
Any tips? I'm gonna get a new pair when I can but just don't have the money, and I want to go on my trip soon while the weather's good. Does putting something in the toe of the boot work as a quick fix? Tissue paper, some kind of fabric?
Thanks, /out/.
pic mildly related, it's where I'll be.
