I would suggest; a bolt-action or lever action rifle in a common caliber for deer hunting, a pump shotgun for rabbits, turkey and quail and a .22LR carbine for squirrels (and low-cost target shooting)
You may also want to consider an over/under shotgun for rabbits and upland birds, (also clay shooting) a dedicated turkey hunting shotgun and a bow or crossbow and a muzzle-loader for early and late season deer hunting, if you find yourself really getting into hunting.
