Let me tell you something about White's fuckin boots: once you invest in a pair, you'll never buy anything else. The break in period is slow and frankly kinda painful if you've never worn a boot of this caliber. But rest assured It's worth it all. Be sure to clean and grease regularily. This helps both the lifetime and comfort level of the boot.
My very first pair, I wore for NINE fucking years. I had them sent off to be rebuilt and wore them for another year and the only reason they didn't last is because at the time my job was to tread the earth where fumigant had been applie and it just tore em up.
I've since had 3 pair; each pair I've had I've never been dissatisfied with.

Protip: if White's aren't quite your style but close, check out Nick's Boots as well. Rumor has it thet Mr. Nick used to work for White's and for some reason became disgruntled and went out on his own. His boots are of the same tier quality and many claim preference over White's, though really at this level of craftsmanship it all just boils down to personal preference.
