>>344954One thing I've noticed is that almost nobody is unkind to a fisherman with the exception of a handful of other fishermen. Your post reminded me of a time a buddy and I took my pop's little low-sided jon boat out to the mouth of a fairly large creek off the Potomac.
We spent a good fifteen minutes just putting our way from the launch to the opposite side of the creek mouth (can only go so far and fast with a trolling motor). The plan was to fish a very large grass flat I'd observed from aerial photos on Google Maps. Anyway, cue Balding Billy and his sleek, sparkling mid-life crisis. We must've been in *his* spot because he ripped past us once kicking up a wake that sent us rocking. Then a second time and again we bobbed atop his rollers. Finally he cuts back around once more before settling close enough that I could've bopped'em in the head with a well-aimed cast. Despite our casting area being cut into by this jackhole it wasn't three minutes later that I hooked into pic related and my buddy was whooping and hollering. As I pulled it from the water to hold it up I glanced over my shoulder to see Billy throw a look of disgust our way before starting his boat back up and hauling ass again. Certainly not the best bass I've ever caught but easily one of the most satisfying.
