I was in the room with my back turned and smelled something, turned around, and saw a 16 inch flame coming up out the top of the candle lantern and licking the wall. It was hanging on a chain from the door jam. The top of the candle had all melted, and it turned into a mini cauldron of burning wax.
I used to use them in my tent for heat when winter camping, but after that experience I will never use one in a tent or car while I am sleeping and I strongly discourage anyone from taking the risk. It's extremely dangerous, Anons.
