>>899505I think like 6.4:1 is the normal lower regular speed for memecasters and slightly faster for spinning setups. 5.4 or 5.7 is normal for spinning. I would be down to try an 8.1 memecaster. It would be good for the spots where I have to cast over weed beds to get to the big bass and then I just reel really fast to get the lure back over the weeds.
>>899504I'm talking about the big football/brush jigs. Like a big jighead with a skirt, or a spinnerbait without the spinner. There are the big brush or punchin jigs that are 3/4oz plus and run on or near the bottom or 1/4oz-1/2oz swimming jigs that are meant to be used higher up in the water column. Pic related is a jig.
