>>949690Veritas and Vendettas are close. The Veritas normally retails for $100 while the Vendetta is $80. The blank is a bit nicer.
Sounds like you probably just want a M then with what you are running. Depends on the action and rod tho. Like the Fenwick Eagle in a M has a bit slower action and is more sensitive, so it isn't the best with 1/2oz+ baits like heavy Rat-L-Traps but the Abu rods in a M with a faster action will handle 1/2oz-3/4oz lures fairly well. On the other hand the M Fenwick with slower action will launch a 1/6oz Mepps or Rapala a little better than the faster Abu since it flexes a bit more at the tip. That's why the pro bass dudes have a million rods. Certain ones just like certain lures better.
But if you are looking at those Abu rods, a M Vendetta or Veritas will be a nice light rod and they handle everything from 1/8oz up to 1oz well. 6'6" or 7' depending what you are comfortable with. A couple other people here have those rods and nobody has had anything bad to say.
And that first bowfin pic just reminds me of pic related. A nice dark fat largemouth. Normally the bowfin are a bit more slender and sometimes look more brown instead of dark green. Plus you can't see the fins in that pic.
