Is this now the boots general?
I have wide feet that don't fit a lot of shoes and don't know what to do.
I had a pair of hiking boots, I really took a lot of time in the shop with them and thought they would fit well, had them on for many hikes previously, then did a multi day hike with a lot of weight on somewhat hilly terrain and had to stop after just two days because my feet were absolutely fucked, I still have scars from the blisters months after.
Since then I have just been wearing trailrunning shoes for hiking but for carrying a big backpack this is obviously far from ideal. I would be happy to invest some money if I only knew the new pair would fit my feet, but from my experience, I can't tell in a shop and even when I have been wearing shoes for weeks they can still suddenly feel very uncomfortable. I of course know that tying shoes correctly makes a big difference and I have been trying it in different ways, it just feels like my feet change their shape sometimes.
Does anyone else suffer from the same problems? How did you solve them? Just try a bunch of hiking boots until finally satisfied? Or take the /out/ist larper pill and get some milsurp boots two sizes larger and wear thick socks? I think I will order pic related tomorrow and see how they'll fit at home as I have heard good stuff about them for wide feet
