Winters just getting to us here, the nights are getting cold. There are woods to the south of me; between me and my nearest city. If I make it the 4 odd miles they are away from me I can maybe use the tarp to make a makeshift shelter; but seeing as I have neither a rope with which to string it up, nor an axe to guarantee sufficient wood to build it, that may not be an option.
>What is your long term plan?
If I go 16 miles west, I can get to an old run-down farm house me and some friends stumbled on when I was younger. The tarp can be of use there, and there's a small town with a corner shop and a farm. I can go see if the locals are friendly, or rob all I can from the farm and shop, and try and go further west. Med-way isn't too far away, maybe I can catch the evacuation there, or at least find out whats going on.
