My first 2000m peak 2 weeks ago, Ahkka in Northern Sweden, ended a 5 day hike with a South to North traverse over the mountain. The north side was easy as fuck, would bring fit kids up there even with 1500m in elevation gain.
The way up on the south side was harrowing, 4 staight hours of if you slip you're probably going to die. Either bouncing down a scree slope around 60 degrees onto a glacier or fall vertically 2-300m onto a glacier on the other side.
No girl will ever be fingered as hard by me as i fingered mother earth that day.
Got lucky as fuck, thick clouds covered the summit 30 min after we started down on the easy side and when we got off the loose rock at 1500m it started to pour rain.
Pic related, last picture I took before the lateral movement towards the ridge between the peaks began and there was a 2 hour gap in my photos because I became too focused on not dying to take out my phone.
