>>416333I used to look at Trophies mounted and think, "Man that guy had to work pretty hard or must have been a skilled hunter to get that." Now the only thing that crosses my mind is "I wonder how much that faggot paid to have that delivered to him?" I'm not even talking guided hunts or shit like that. I'm talking about the fact that having a "Trophy" like that on your wall amounted to the "hunter" (what a euphemism) paying a bunch of money on some hot-shit exclusive lease and being in the right place at the right time with a working firearm. He didn't have to do shit but site in the gun and sit in the fucking stand.
I could take a fishing rod and walk to the nearest body of fishable water, fish all day, and no one would give a single shit. Conversely, I could find the nearest plot of huntable land, crack off a single shot (or not even do shit, just be seen) and within 5 minutes the Landowner is calling 911 to get DNR and the cops to fine me for tresspassing and confiscate a $1,000+ gun and scope. Are you fucking kidding me?
Is this all that hunting has amounted to? A bunch of people dropping thousands on leases and land so they can get their little slice? It's enough money just getting a rifle setup that is worth a shit, the gas to get to where you're going, the ammo, the license, the gear, and you do all this so you can spend MORE THAN ALL OF THOSE THINGS COMBINED - SOLELY for the "right" to walk onto a piece of dirt.
