Does anyone have any experience with the Eureka Timberline 2?
They've been making this same tent since the 1960s, maybe earlier. It's basically a first generation "backpacking" tent (it's 8 lbs). It's 7'2" x 5'3". Because it's a simple double wall A-Frame style tent condensation is supposed to be almost nonexistent, any droplets will run down the rain fly and drip off onto the ground.
People LOVE this tent. I'm thinking of buying one to have around in case a lady friend wants to go camping with me. This seems like a really nice tent to shack up in for a night or two.
The only downside is it's heavy as fuck. 8 lbs. Does anyone make a similar tent to this that's a bit lighter? You'd think someone would have aped the design by now.
