I just got back from my first solo trip. It was great. I made a couple mistakes, but I didn't die, and I learned from them. I went on a short hike to a lake and camped there at a campsite with a fire pit and a picnic table. Pic related. It was fancier than any of the other places I have camped at while backpacking. It even had an outhouse. There were also houses across the lake and I could hear people in boats fishing, so I wasn't exactly alone, but it was still nice. It was perfect for my first solo trip. I want to try a longer trail next time where can make my own camp without the fire pit and table.
