Found in the grass under a mix of oak/ash/hickory/maple, closest tree was a big oak, near Chicago. Caps start out a vibrant hunter orange, fade to an orange cream with age, spore print was a pale orange, mushroom stains hands and clothes off orange, biggest cap I've seen was about 15cm, average seems to be 7-8cm.
